[사건의내막 / 문홍철 기자] = 김한규 더불어민주당 법률대변인은 20일 논평에서 “검찰의 기획수사, 이제 끝내야 합니다”고 밝혔다.

 

김한규  법률대변인은 “최근 KBS 시사직격은 입법로비 사건과 한명숙 전 총리의 불법정치자금수수 사건을 통해 검찰의 기소권 남용과 기획수사에 대한 문제를 제기했다”면서 “방송에서는 이들 두 사건이 정치권력의 지시를 받은 기획수사이고, 검찰이 기소권을 남용하여 진술을 얻어내어 자신들이 원하는 방향의 수사를 위해 이 진술을 이용하였다는 의혹을 제기하며, 한명숙 전 총리 사건처럼 입법로비 사건의 수사과정에 대하여도 감찰을 요구했다”고 덧붙였다.

 

김 법률대변인은 “검찰 기획수사의 문제를 제기하는 이유는 특정 정치인의 명예회복을 위해서가 아니다”라면서 “검찰이 누군가의 약점을 잡아 원하는 내용의 진술을 요구하고, 기소편의주의라는 검찰권한을 남용해 자신의 칼을 정치와 출세의 수단으로 휘두른다면, 지휘고하를 막론하고 어느 누가 억울한 사건을 피할 수 있겠습니까?”라고 날을 세웠다.

 

이에 김 법률대변인은 “해당 방송이 소개한 유서대필 조작 사건은 피해자가 1991년 검찰의 기획수사로 억울한 처벌을 받은 후 2015년에야 재심으로 무죄가 확정되다”며, 그리고 “기획수사의 피해자이나 아직 진실을 밝히지 못하고 있다고 주장하는 사람들도 여전히 존재한다”고 말했다.

 

김한규  법률대변인은 “최근 라임 사건에서 김봉현 전 회장의 서신은 검찰의 기획수사가 현재도 계속되고 있는 게 아닌지 두려움을 준다”면서 “이러한 국민의 두려움을 떨쳐내고 검찰을 다시 신뢰할 수 있도록, 감찰과 수사를 통해 진실을 밝히고, 정치적 목적을 가진 기획수사가 다시는 되풀이되지 말아야 할 것”이라고 강조했다.

 

김 법률대변인은 “진정으로 국민을 위한 검찰이 되는 것, 이것이 검찰의 사명이고, 주권자인 국민이 검찰개혁을 요구하는 이유이다”고 전했다.
