'Untact Plan' is an online-only plan consisting of a total of 6 types, including 3 5G plans and 3 LTE plans, and can be subscribed to at T Direct Shop, SKT's official online mall.
SKT considers the needs of customers who want to use mobile communication services'easy, simple, and inexpensive', and reflects the savings in distribution and marketing costs of the existing offline-based plan directly to the monthly payment, It revealed that it was focused on expanding the amount of data provided.
Accordingly, the'Untact Plan' was designed at a rate of about 30% lower than the previous rate, eliminating the contract and combination conditions and additional benefits of the rate plan that existed in the existing rate plan.
In detail, 5G is △ '5G Untact 62', which provides complete unlimited data access for 620,000 won per month △ '5G Untact 52', which provides 200 GB of large-capacity data for 520,000 won per month △ 5G service is available for 30,000 won per month. Three new types of mid- and low-priced rates, such as '5G Untact 38', have been newly established.
In the case of '5G Untact 52', SKT's large-capacity LTE data plan,'T Plan Essence (70,000 won per month, 100GB of data provided)' is used at a discounted price that is almost the same as the existing LTE rate. The 5G data plan became possible.
For LTE, customers are expected to significantly ease the burden of charges with the launch of the “Untact Plan,” with a plan that allows users to use 100GB of large data for about KRW 40,000.
SKT said that the'Untact Plan' is meaningful in that it has strengthened customers' options for mobile communication service charges in consideration of the social trend that emphasizes the importance of single family and non-face-to-face channels.
The'Untact Plan' can be subscribed to new devices (including number transfer) or device change at T Direct Shop, SKT's official online sales channel, and is also available when the self-sufficient (OMD) terminal and SIM can be opened alone. However, you cannot sign up for simple rate change and used-and-use (OEM) terminals.
SKT predicts that the'Untact Plan' is the first rate plan launched under the reservation system in effect from December 10, 2020, and it is expected that this will be the starting point for the intensification of price competition among operators in the future.
In particular, it is meaningful in that it responds to the demands of the National Assembly for the release of tariff plans, which can lead to a reduction in the burden of communication costs by reducing excessive marketing costs in the state audit, as well as the demands of the government and customers to continuously ease the burden of charges.
