질병관리청 국립보건연구원은 1일 국내 개발 1호 코로나19 백신 허가를 위한 임상3상 시험 검체 분석을 완료함에 따라 국내 최초 코로나19 백신 허가 발판을 마련했다고 전했다.

 

국립보건연구원은 국제백신연구소와 함께 지난해 8월 SK 바이오사이언스에서 개발 중인 코로나19 백신의 면역원성 분석에 착수했다.

 

허가에 필요한 우선 분석 대상 검체 약 4200건에 대한 중화항체 분석을 완료해 이 결과를 개발사에 보냈는데, 향후 개발사는 시험 결과에 대한 임상적 유용성 분석을 수행한 후 올해 상반기 중 식약처에 허가를 신청할 예정이다.
