[사거의내막 / 김지호 기자] = 경기도가 도내 비정규직 노동자들의 문화 활동을 장려하기 위해 동아리 운영과 활동을 지원한다고 6일 밝혔다.

 

‘비정규직 동아리 지원사업’은 경제적 이유 등으로 여가활동이 어려운 비정규직과 중소기업 노동자들에게 문화예술 향유의 기회를 제공하고, 노동자 간 연대 의식을 강화하는 데 목적을 둔 사업이다.

 

4개 수행단체는 ▲남동권역(수원·성남·용인·안성·이천·여주·광주·하남·양평·평택 10개 시군) ‘수원시 비정규직 노동자 복지센터’ ▲남서권역(김포·부천·광명·시흥·안산·과천·안양·군포·의왕·화성·오산 11개 시군) ‘안산시 비정규직 지원센터’ ▲북동권역(가평·포천·구리·남양주·동두천·연천·양주 7개 시군) ‘경기북부노동인권센터’ ▲북서권역(고양·파주·의정부 3개 시군) ‘파주노동희망센터’ 등 4곳이며, 공모를 통해 선정됐다.

 

각 사업 수행자는 투명·공정한 공모와 심사를 통해 올 한해 지원받을 비정규직 동아리를 선정, 직종·분야별로 다양한 동아리 활동을 돕게 된다.

 

선정된 동아리는 사업 수행자를 통해 동아리 운영과 문화행사 개최비 등을 지원받고, 전문가 지원단을 통해 동아리 활성화도 꾀할 수 있다. 이 밖에도 합동공연, 발표회, 전시회 등 성과 공유의 시간도 가질 예정이다.

 

경기도는 이를 위해 총 2억 4천만 원 규모의 사업비를 지원할 예정이다. 남동권·남서권에 각각 7천만 원, 북동권·북서권에 각각 5천만 원이 지원된다.

 

도는 이번 사업으로 비정규직 노동자들의 재충전과 휴식, 문화·예술 활동 활성화, 노동자 간 연대 의식 강화를 도모해 노동인권 증진에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

 

지난해에는 4개 권역에서 총 97개의 비정규직 노동자동아리를 발굴·지원했으며 지난해 12월 양주시에서 연극, 라인댄스, 합창 등 다양한 분야의 동아리들이 모여 경기도 비정규직 동아리 합동 발표회를 열기도 했다.

 

정구원 경기도 노동국장은 “취약계층 노동자들은 문화 활동 향유의 기회를 누리지 못한 경우가 많은데 이번 사업 지원으로 비정규직 노동자의 삶의 질이 보다 풍요로워지길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 경기도 발전의 주축인 노동자들의 노동과 휴식의 균형 보장을 위해 계속 노력해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
