국민권익위원회는 매크로 프로그램 이용 여부와 관계없이 영업으로 암표를 판매하는 행위를 전면 금지하고, 처벌 수위를 상향 조정하고 범죄수익을 몰수·추징하도록 권고한 바 있다.

 

이에 문체부는 이러한 권고를 수용해 매크로 프로그램을 활용하지 않은 암표 판매행위까지 처벌 대상으로 넓히는 방향으로 공연법과 국민체육진흥법 개정안을 마련하고 공연 및 스포츠 산업의 근간을 해치는 암표를 근절하기 위한 정책적 대응을 강화하기로 했다.

또한, 처벌 기준을 이득액 크기별로 세분화하고, 처벌 수위를 상향하는 개정도 검토하고 있다.
