첨단 소부장 투자 8501억 원 '역대 최고'…"민간투자 확대 견인"

[사건의내막 / 문홍철 기자] = 산업통상자원부는 올해 소부장 투자연계형 기술개발사업(237억 5000만 원)을 통해 첨단 소부장 분야 183개 회사에서 모두 8501억원의 민간투자를 유치했다고 30일 밝혔다.

 

이는 지난해보다 653억 늘어 역대 최고 투자 금액을 기록했으며, 기업당 평균 투자 금액도 10억 2000만 원 증가한 46억 5000만 원이었다.

 

주요 투자 분야로는 AI반도체가 24개 기업에서 2602억 원을 유치하며 가장 큰 비중을 차지했다.

 

뒤이어 디지털 헬스케어 627억 원(13개 기업), 로봇·자동화 기계 441억 원(12개 기업), 차세대 전지 분야 433억 원(12개 기업) 등 첨단산업 전반에 걸쳐 투자가 이루어진 것으로 나타났다.

이번 투자유치의 대표사례로 AI 반도체 기업 오픈엣지테크놀로지(Openedges Technology)는 600억 원의 자금을 확보했다.

 

이 회사는 이 자금을 활용해 '고속·저전력 메모리 기반 경량언어모델 전용 AI반도체' 기술 개발에 속도를 낼 계획이다.

 

이번 투자는 국내 팹리스산업 생태계 조성은 물론, AI반도체 기술 자립과 글로벌시장 진출의 발판을 마련한 것으로 평가되고 있다.

 

전기차 소부장 기업 이티에스(ETS)는 전기차용 이차전지 제조공정 핵심 기술인 전해액 주입 장비를 국산화하며 170억 원의 투자를 유치했다.

 

해당 기술은 전기차용 배터리 생산성 및 품질 향상에 기여할 뿐만 아니라, 수입 대체와 수출 증대에도 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

 

나성화 산업부 산업공급망정책관은 "첨단산업 분야의 기술 자립과 민간투자 확대는 우리나라 미래 산업경쟁력의 핵심"이라고 강조했다.
