[사건의내막 / 문홍철 기자] = 함인경 국민의힘 대변인은 오늘 3월 11일 논평에서 “검찰총장에 대한 30번째 탄핵을 예고하면서, 국정협의회에는 30분만을 겨우 쓰는 민주당의 민낯”이라고 밝혔다. 

함인경 대변인은 “어제 열린 제3차 국정협의회는 또다시 성과 없이 끝났다”면서 “제2차 국정협의회에서 민주당이 일방적으로 불참하며 국정을 볼모로 잡았던 비판이 컸던 만큼, 이번에는 형식적으로라도 참석하는 모습을 보였지만, 실상은 민생 논의에 대한 진정성이라고는 찾아볼 수 없는 ‘참석 쇼’에 불과했다”고 덧붙였다.

함인경 대변인은 “민주당은 국회의장 중재안인 0.5% 조차 거부하며 끝내 연금개혁을 걷어찼다”라면서 “국민의힘은 연금 재정의 지속성을 고려해 보험료율을 9%에서 13%로 인상하는 것부터 조속히 시행해야 한다는 입장을 유지하며, 민주당의 요구를 최대한 수용해 소득대체율을 43%까지 양보할 수 있음을 밝혔다”면서 “국민연금 소득대체율 1% 차이는 약 300조 원에 달하는 만큼 결코 적은 수치가 아니다”라며 “그런데 민주당은 긍정적으로 검토하겠다고 해놓고서 어제 국정협의회에서는 돌연 입장을 바꿔 44%를 고집하며 논의를 원점으로 돌려버렸다”고 꼬집고 나섰다.

이에 함인경 대변인은 “결국 국정협의회는 민주당의 고집과 정략적 계산으로 인해 30분 만에 파행되었다”면서 “민주당의 시선은 온통 국정 혼란을 조장하는 데에만 쏠려 있다”라며 “30번째 탄핵 압박, 정치 특검법 남발, 쓸 데 없는 철야 농성 등 국정을 혼란 시키는 데에는 온갖 시간과 노력을 다 쏟으면서 정작 가장 중요한 국정협의회에는 단 30분만 사용하며 스스로 진정성을 부정했다”고 비판의 목소리를 높였다.

또한 함인경 대변인은 “대한민국 경제가 어렵다”면서 “민주당이 생떼를 부리며 국정협의회를 걷어찼던 날에도, 누군가는 실직하고, 가게 문을 닫으며 삶의 터전을 잃었다”라며 “그럼에도 민주당은 여전히 경제·민생 논의를 외면하고 있다”고 일침을 쏟아냈다. 

함인경 대변인은 “민주당이 민생 경제와 미래 세대를 위한다면, 지금이라도 협상을 정치적 도구로 이용하는 행태를 멈추고, 보험료율 인상과 소득대체율 조정에 동의해야 할 것”이라고 강조하며 밝혔다.
