구윤철 부총리 겸 재정경제부 장관은 27일 제273차 대외경제장관회의를 주재하고 'CPTPP 가입 관련 향후 대응방향', '한-중앙아시아 전략적 경제협력 확대방안', '제8차 한-아프리카 경제협력(KOAFEC) 장관회의 개최계획 및 예상성과', '해외수주 실적 및 향후 지원방안' 등 4개 안건을 논의했다.
구 부총리는 "그간 정부는 미국·중동 등 주요국과 양자 통상·경제협력을 통해 우리 기업의 시장 진출 기반을 넓혀 왔으며, 앞으로는 이를 지역·다자 차원의 통상·경제협력으로 확장하여 우리 경제의 대외 네트워크를 더욱 촘촘하고 폭넓게 구축해 나가겠다"고 강조했다.
이를 위해 정부는 다자 통상 네트워크를 확대하고, 중앙아시아⸱아프리카 등 유망 지역과의 경제협력 기반을 다지는 한편 이러한 협력이 기업의 수출·수주 성과로 이어지도록 뒷받침할 계획이다.

올해는 KOAFEC 출범 20주년을 맞는 해로, 정부는 이번 장관회의를 계기로 AI·디지털 전환을 중심으로 향후 한-아프리카 경제협력의 새로운 비전과 실행방안을 제시할 예정이다.
또한 정부는 우리 기업들이 세계 곳곳에서 더 많은 기회를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 해외수주 지원도 강화한다.
