[사건의내막 / 문홍철 기자] = 이재명 대통령이프랑스 에비앙에서 열리는 주요7개국(G7) 정상회의 참석을 계기로 오는 9일부터 18일까지 유럽을 방문한다.
위성락 국가안보실장은 5일 브리핑에서 "6월 9일부터 18일까지 벨기에, 유럽연합(EU), 이탈리아, 교황청을 방문하고, 프랑스 에비앙에서 개최되는 G7 정상회의에 참석한다"며 이 같은 이 대통령의 정상외교 일정을 소개했다.
이 대통령은 우선 9일부터 이틀간 벨기에 브뤼셀에 머무르며 한-벨기에 정상회담, 한-유럽연합(EU) 정상회담 등을 갖는다.
올해는 벨기에와 수교 125주년이 되는 해로, 이 대통령은 첫날 저녁 우리 동포들과 만찬 간담회로 방문 일정을 시작한다. 이어 10일 알렉산더 더크루 벨기에 총리와 정상회담, 필립 벨기에 국왕 면담 등이 예정돼 있다.

이어 이 대통령은 이탈리아 세르지오 마타렐라 대통령의 초청으로 오는 11일부터 13일까지 이탈리아를 국빈 방문한다. 또한 이탈리아 측의 국빈 행사 프로그램에 따라 로마뿐 아니라 피렌체 방문도 계획돼 있다.
위 시장은 "마타렐라 대통령과의 정상회담 뿐 아니라 멜로니 총리와도 지난해 9월 유엔총회 계기 회담을 한 바 있다"며 "올해 1월에는 멜로니 총리의 공식 방한 계기 회담을 했고, 이번에는 세 번째 공식회담이 된다"고 말했다.
