한-케냐 정상, 상생·공동성장 기반으로 지속가능한 협력 확대키로

[사건의내막 / 문홍철 기자] = 이재명 대통령은 17일(현지시간) 오후 주요 7개국(G7) 정상회의 참석 계기에 윌리엄 루토 케냐 대통령과 정상회담을 갖고 경제협력, 개발협력, 인프라 협력, 인적교류 등 양국 관계 전반에 대해 의견을 교환했다.

양 정상은 이번 G7 정상회의에서 논의된 바와 같이 한국과 케냐가 상생과 공동성장을 기반으로 한 지속가능한 협력을 확대해 나가기로 뜻을 같이했다.

특히 루토 대통령은 한국은 한 세대 만에 개발도상국에서 선진국으로 도약한 대표적 성공 사례라며 케냐가 한국의 발전 경험을 적극 배우고자 한다고 했다. 이에 대해 이 대통령은 케냐의 국가 발전 과정에 한국이 신뢰할 수 있는 동반자로 함께하겠다고 했다.
